Casino Nights
These are chapter fundraising projects in which Jaycees provide entertainment at events by running different gaming tables like Black Jack, Roulette, Chuck-a-Luck and Bing.
The Jaycees host speed dating events in Bismarck. In the
event participants (equally men and women) sit down at tables for a series of
seven minute dates. This simple process allows the participants to meet
different people of their own age in one evening. Using a secret ballot the
participants can elect who they would like to meet for another date. If two
participants indicate a desire to meet each other again the Jaycee's
facilitate the exchange of phone numbers and email.
A community food drive event where the Jaycees partner with the Bismarck-Mandan communities to fill the floor of the Bismarck Civic Center Exhibit Hall with non-perishable food items to benefit area food pantries.
A baseball skills competition for kids from 8 to 15. Held in Bismarck in May.
A football skills competition for kids from 8 to 15. Held in Bismarck in September.
The Jaycees raise money througout the preceeding months and then spend the night walking around the track at the event to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer.
The Jaycees work with the Lincoln Area Activities Club
to put on a demolition derby in August. The funds raised are used to fund Santa's
Christmas gifts for kids in Lincoln.
Bowling Tournament
The Jaycees hold bowling tournaments to help develop
project management skills as well as raise money.
Magic of Christmas
